2016 CEE WEDD and City of London Design Competition Results

Congratulations to all groups who presented their design concepts at the 2016 CEE Western Engineering Design Day Competition on Friday, February 12, 2016; and the City of London Design Competition on Friday, March 4, 2016.  The judges were impressed with the continued high caliber of the designs presented by our students.

City of London Design Competition Results:

The first place prize this year was awarded to two groups:  

Paradigm (Mohammed Altalmas, Megan Janes, Brendan Kaus, Ritchie Sham, Falko Thoennes) for their design of the Ross Park multi-use pathway bridge over the Thames River.  

Principal Water Solutions (Dustin Brown, Jacob Collings, Natalie Connell, Nathan Gonsalves, Brian McCandie, Kevin Vitone) for their design for the Elgin Area Water Treatment Plant Optimization and Expansion.

The second place prize was also awarded to two groups:  

CID Structural Consultants (Danielle Aucoin, Alex Breese, Joseph Hoekstra, Andrew McLennan, Nicholas Zeeb) for their design of the Canadian National Railway crossing over Wonderland Road North. 

BLAQQAEL (Quinton Aitchison, Adrian Bruijns, Eric Lalonde, Robert Querengesser) for their design of the Canadian National Railway crossing over Wonderland Road North.

2016 CEE Western Engineering Design Day Competition Results:

The first place prize this year was awarded to BridgeWorks Consulting (Alex Cook, Christopher Howlett, Shannon Lee Tai Fuy, Nathan Jianopoulos, Alexandra Van Valkenburg) for their design of the Ross Park multi-use pathway bridge over the Thames River. 

The second place prize was awarded to CID Structural Consultants (Danielle Aucoin, Alex Breese, Joseph Hoekstra, Andrew McLennan, Nicholas Zeeb) for their design of the Canadian National Railway crossing over Wonderland Road North.   

The third place prize was awarded to Principal Water Solutions (Dustin Brown, Jacob Collings, Natalie Connell, Nathan Gonsalves, Brian McCandie, Kevin Vitone) for their design for the Elgin Area Water Treatment Plant Optimization and Expansion.

The Demarco Green Technologies award for the sustainability aspects of design was awarded to Paradigm (Mohammed Altalmas, Megan Janes, Brendan Kaus, Ritchie Sham, Falko Thoennes) for their design of the Ross Park multi-use pathway bridge over the Thames River.
